What is Jozankei Onsen like?

定山渓じょうざんけい温泉おんせんととつぜん言いわれても、定山渓じょうざんけい温泉おんせんはどこにあるの？どんなところなの？と思おもうかたもいらっしゃると思おもうので、まずは定山渓じょうざんけい温泉おんせんの基本きほん情報じょうほうについてお話はなししたいと思おもいます。

If you’re wondering about Jozankei Onsen and where it is located, let me start by giving you some basic information about Jozankei Onsen.

定山渓じょうざんけい温泉おんせんは札幌市さっぽろしの南区みなみくにある温泉街おんせんがいです。

温泉おんせんが地上ちじょうへと湧わきでてくる場所ばしょである源泉げんせんの数かずは56か所しょあり、宿泊しゅくはくや日帰ひがえり温泉おんせんをたのしめる温泉おんせん施設しせつが20軒けん以上いじょうあります。

Jozankei Onsen is a hot spring town located in the Minami-ku ward of Sapporo City.

There are 56 springs where hot spring water gushes out from the ground, and there are over 20 hot spring facilities where you can enjoy overnight stays or day trips.

このエリアは、札幌市さっぽろしの中心部ちゅうしんぶから車くるまで約やく50分ぷんのところにあります。

また、札幌さっぽろの中心部ちゅうしんぶにある札幌さっぽろ駅えきからバスもでているので、観光客かんこうきゃくのかたでも気軽きがるに定山渓じょうざんけい温泉おんせんへとあそびに行いくことができます。

This area is about a 50-minute drive from the center of Sapporo City.

Moreover, there are buses available from Sapporo Station, which is located in the city center, so tourists can easily visit Jozankei Onsen.

そして温泉街おんせんがいには、お土産みやげが買かえるお店みせやおいしいスイーツのあるお店みせなどもあります。

ほかにも、足あしだけを温泉おんせんにいれる足湯あしゆや、たまごをお湯ゆにいれてゆで卵たまごを作つくれる源泉げんせんがある公園こうえん（定山じょうざん源泉げんせん公園こうえん）もあります。

温泉街おんせんがいをさんぽしながら、足湯あしゆやカフェをたのしむとすてきな時間じかんをすごすことができますよ！

In the hot spring town, there are shops where you can buy souvenirs and shops with delicious sweets.

In addition, there are foot baths where you can soak only your feet in the hot spring, and a park (Jozan gensen Park) where you can put eggs in the hot water and make boiled eggs.

By taking a stroll through the hot spring town, you can enjoy foot baths and cafes, creating a wonderful time!

Let me tell you about the wonderful attractions of Jozankei Onsen!

定山渓じょうざんけい温泉おんせんがある札幌市さっぽろし南区みなみくは自然しぜんのゆたかな場所ばしょです。自然しぜんがつくりだす景色けしきは、おとずれる季節きせつによって大おおきくかわります。

春夏秋冬しゅんかしゅうとうどの季節きせつにおとずれてもたのしむことができますが、わたしがオススメする季節きせつは秋あきです。木々きぎの葉はがきれいに色いろづくこの時期じきはどこを見みてもきれいな景色けしきがひろがっています！

とくに定山渓じょうざんけい温泉おんせんにある「定山渓じょうざんけいダム」と「二見ふたみ吊橋つりばし」からみる紅葉こうようはとてもうつくしいので、ぜひみなさんにも見みにきていただきたい場所ばしょです。

The Minami-ku ward of Sapporo City, where Jozankei Onsen is located, is a place abundant in nature. The scenery created by nature changes significantly depending on the season you visit.

You can enjoy it in any season—spring, summer, autumn, or winter—but the season I recommend the most is autumn. During this time, when the leaves of the trees beautifully change color, everywhere you look, you’ll see stunning scenery!

In particular, the autumn foliage seen from “Jozankei Dam” and “Futami Bridge” in Jozankei Onsen is incredibly beautiful. I highly recommend that everyone come and see it.

また、冬ふゆに来くるとあたり一面いちめんに雪ゆき景色げしきがひろがります。雪ゆきがしんしんとふるなか入る露天ろてん風呂ぶろはふだんあまり経験けいけんすることのない、とてもすてきな体験たいけんになります！

Moreover, when you visit in winter, you’ll be greeted by a landscape covered in snow. Soaking in an open-air bath while snow silently falls around you will be a very special and delightful experience that you don’t get to have often!

最後さいごに地元じもとのかたにも人気にんきな日帰ひがえり温泉おんせん施設しせつをご紹介しょうかいしたいと思おもいます。（わたしもよく利用りようしています。）その名なも、豊平峡ほうへいきょう温泉おんせんです！

Lastly, I would like to introduce a popular day trip hot spring facility among locals (I also frequently visit). It’s called Hoheikyo Onsen!

こちらの温泉おんせん施設しせつは、大人おとな1,000円えん、子こども500円えんで利用りようできます。（クレジットカードは使つかえないのでご注意ちゅういください！）

一番いちばんの魅力みりょくはひろい露天ろてん風呂ぶろです。お湯ゆ加減かげんもちょうどいいので、お友達ともだちとお話はなしをしたり、景色けしきをたのしんだりとゆっくりと温泉おんせんをたのしめます。

This hot spring facility can be used for 1,000 yen for adults and 500 yen for children. Please note that credit cards are not accepted here, so please be aware of that!

The main attraction is the spacious open-air bath. The temperature of the hot spring water is just right, allowing you to relax and enjoy the hot spring at your own pace. You can have conversations with friends, admire the scenery, and truly savor the experience.

じつはこちらの温泉おんせん、食事しょくじも人気にんきなのです！本格的ほんかくてきなインドカレーが一番いちばん人気にんきとなっていますが、ジンギスカンやおそばもおいしいので、おとずれたさいにはぜひ食たべてみてください〜。

The food at this hot spring facility is also quite popular! The most popular choice is the authentic Indian curry, but the Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) and soba noodles are also delicious, so I highly recommend trying them when you visit. Enjoy your meal!
